This last Friday Madison turned 12 years old. We asked her what she wanted to do for her Birthday. We’ve been taking the kids out to dinner for their birthdays but Madison has been reading The Hobbit and asked if her dad would make her a steak dinner and if we’d take her to The new Hobbit instead of to dinner. So that’s what we did.
Madison went to school and when she came home David got dinner ready and we opened gifts while we waited for it to finish. Then we ate Jalapeño Steak, Veggies and Herb Bread. Then David, Madison and I went to The Desolation of Smaug. We all enjoyed the movie then we came home and had the Red Velvet Cake that we bought as Costco. We’ve been so busy the last few months we haven’t had time to make our custom cakes but the two Costco cakes have been a good change and delicious.
Madison also got her new Violin for her Birthday and I already posted about that so her gifts may look small be we spent so much more this year than we generally do. She got her $2 bill and a card from Grandma and Grandpa Saville, $15 and a fun money jar from Grandma and Grandpa Egley, a Young Women’s necklace and bookmark from her siblings and Jake headphones from David and I. She also got a new outfit for her Violin Recital the next day.
Madison also went to her first Young Women’s activity this last Wednesday. It was a Young Women's combined activity and she had a lot of fun. The Young Women’s President said that Madison is a hugger so she loves her already. Madison is indeed a hugger I’m sure she will love Young Women’s so much. It’s crazy to think my kids are growing up so fast. I love them all so much and I’m so proud of all of them.
