Last week was Valentine’s Day and I’ve had a hard time getting around to posting about it. It was Thursday and we had nothing planned since David and I went to Tepanyaki Japanese Steakhouse and the movie Warm Bodies last weekend for our date. So on Thursday afternoon I was trying to think of something nice to do for everyone and decided to make Tequila Lime Chicken, Spanish Rice & Pico de Gallo for dinner. I’ve made it before for David and it’s one of his favorites, but the kids have never had it and most of them are now old enough to appreciate a great meal that we don’t have often. David was thinking the same thing so he called and asked me if I had idea’s for dinner and I usually don’t but I said it was all under control. So he decided to do a Valentine dinner for us all on Friday. He chose to do a new meal called Penne Rosa with Parmesan Crusted Chicken and Italian Herb Bread (homemade), it was fabulous. I got a Valentine for each of the kids. The girls got boxes of chocolates and Isaac got a heart Reese’s (his favorite). I also picked up Skyfall and some chocolate cover cherries for my sweetheart. When David came home he brought be a beautiful Orchid. Hopefully this year I will be able to take care of it well enough to see it bloom again. Last year’s Orchid didn’t die but it never bloomed again so I chucked it.
