New Years Eve 2013

New Year's Eve 2013 063
The fireworks we saw were thanks to our great neighbors behind us who own a fireworks stand and let off some great ariel's that were able to watch from the comfort of our heated home. They were fun to watch in Idaho I’ve never seen many fireworks set off for New Year’s Eve but the kids loved it.

The pictures above are of the 4000 piece puzzle of Time Square, the family got for Christmas. It has quickly become David’s puzzle. It is just too overwhelmingly huge for me to concentrate on. Ben and Sam came the weekend before New Year’s Eve and Ben help quite a bit but me and the kids haven’t been any kind of help. We are missing eating dinner around our table though so I hope it gets finished soon.

We played Kinect Sports with Corinne, Colin & Camron in Texas. The kids love playing with their cousin’s so far away I don’t know why we only do it once a year. I guess we need to try harder to get together. I love that they’re able to talk and laugh and play even though they are thousands of miles apart.

The kids all managed to stay awake until about 10:30 when Isaac insisted we have sparkling cider so he could go to bed. We had grape and apple and we didn’t buy any of it, it was all given to us as gifts. Thank You! The kids used the fluted glasses we bought last year and David and I used the Crystal Goblets from The Czech Republic.

David and I had Katie take these pictures but the first time she tried to take the kissing one it took her so dang long we were laughing and I ended up basically blowing raspberries all over David’s lips. So the second time around we were trying as hard as we could not to laugh.

Although Isaac is pulling a funny face he loved his sparkling grape juice. I think he expected it to be just like juice and do not expect the fizz. Katie didn’t want me to take any pictures of her drinking, Jenna was all too happy to take Isaac’s drink off his hands & Madison decided a straw was the best way to drink it without making a mess.

Over all we had a good night and David, Katie, Madison & I all rang in the new year at midnight. Maybe next year Jenna and Isaac will make it up longer.
