Egley Family Christmas Party!

This year the entire Egley clan came to Utah to celebrate Christmas with us. They all came on the 15th of December, we opened gifts in the morning, then some of the guys took their Cabela’s Gift cards and went to spend them while those of us that stayed behind visited. At 2:00 we all went to Madison’s Christmas Violin Recital, it was great for her to have so much support. After the recital we had a wonderful dinner in the basement and then headed downtown Salt Lake to see the Christmas lights except a few who wanted to stay behind and avoid the cold and the crowds. When we got downtown it took us an hour to get from the freeway to temple square and then we discovered that it was the night of the Mormon Tabernacle Christmas Concert and there was no parking available anywhere. We ended up getting one picture from the car and then heading home. Those of us that went got so spread out looking for a place to park that we just called each other and decided to bag it this year. I know Alice really wanted to see the lights since she has never been able to so I hope sometime in the future she’ll be able to.

When we got home we watched a movie with Chet, Stacy, Ben & Sam and they all spent the night. It was nice to visit with everyone and have them all hang out for so long. They all headed home on Sunday afternoon.

We were all spoiled by family, David got a gift card to Cabelas, I got a beautiful wall hanging for my bathroom, a book I had wanted & a antique bell. All the girls got antique trinkets, Madison got a dress and Jenna got a cute outfit. Katie got a beautiful shelf that mom refinished for her after finding it while antiquing. Isaac go superhero cars. Jared made some awesome blocks that say Joy, Peace & Love in Christmas colors, and I LOVE them, he also gave the kids a movie and treats.
