Today I sent my youngest living child to Kindergarten. Isaac is in all day Kindergarten so there is no picking him up 1/2 through the day. He is a big boy that will be eating lunch at school and walking home with his sisters. I can’t believe I am home all alone and all my babies are at school learning. Although I’ve been sad about not having him here I’m not crying today. The tears have welled up a couple of times but haven’t fallen down my cheeks.
Isaac was so excited today to be a big boy and get to go to school with his sisters. I’m a little sad that I don’t have my baby here to spend one on one time with but I dealt with most of those feelings last year when Isaac went to Pre-School so it’s not as bad as it was then. In a month when we move then Isaac will change to going everyday 1/2 day instead of Wednesday, Friday all day. I’m a little disappointed about that because all day Kindergarten really ties you down so much less but it’s only for one year then he’ll be gone all the time anyway.
I’m sure he’ll have a great first day, he has an amazing teacher and his big sisters will look out for him.
