Thank You!

So I know you’re all waiting for the follow up post about the book drive but I have some Thank you’s that need said first of all.

We received so many well wishes on Gabe’s birthday. This week has been difficult but we know we were thought of constantly. We received many cards that were for Gabe’s birthday and for the book drive. I received flowers which I talked about here. Also we received cookies and Balloons and a 6-pack of Dr. Pepper Bottles (My Favorite) along with  a bag of Dove Milk Chocolate’s and a bag of Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. All of which I’m eating while I blog.

Today I received a very special gift from someone I’ve never met. She is an avid follower of my blog and of my friend Ashley’s blog. In one of Ashley’s recent posts she was talking about things that helped her and Patrick during the funeral planning. I left a comment with with similar things from planning Gabie’s funeral. This wonderful reader read my comment and because I had said the only thing I didn’t receive that Ashley had and that I would’ve loved was a piece of jewelry representing Gabe. So today this is what I found in the mail.

Dear Amy-

I just wanted to send you this necklace. I saw on Sullengers blog that you had commented how you would like  a necklace with Gabe’s name to wear. I was happy to finally know something I could do for you! I hope that this necklace is to your liking and that it will be a sweet reminder of your precious & perfect little angel. My thoughts & prayers are with you!

This is perfect and I LOVE it! You must have been very inspired to follow through on this. The crazy part is that at Christmas time David and I looks at a necklace almost the same as this one. We decided to wait and get me a mothers ring around Mothers Day. All though I still really wanted it. I’m not sure where you found this but we were looking at The Vintage Pearl . This is exactly what I wanted, even the All Is Well included. Thank you so very very much. I will treasure this and keep it close to my heart always.
