Tooele is pronounced /tuːˈɛlə/
As of July 2008 the population was 30,120
There are 7 Elementary Schools, 2 Junior Highs & 1 High School
Tooele is 19 miles SW of West Valley City, UT
There is the convenience of a Wal-Mart Supercenter a Home Depot an Albertsons and several smaller stores.
Now that I’ve got your curiosity peaked as of why I’m posting little tidbits about Tooele UT. The Reason is we will be moving there as soon as our Pocatello home sells.
David has accepted a position as a Systems Engineer for IP Network Solutions Inc.. This company is contracted on by the Government at the Dugway Post. He starts on September 9th. On the map above you’ll see that Dugway is about an hour SW of Tooele. David will be commuting back and forth every day to the on Post facility called Ditto. He’ll be working 10 hour days and then have Friday and every Federal Holiday off. We will be looking for a home in Tooele, Stansbury Park 9 miles N of Tooele or Grantsville which is 10 miles NW of Tooele.
This is a big change for our family but a wonderful blessing too. We’re excited and nervous to start this adventure. We will only be 3 hours from Pocatello so expect to have us visit as often as we can. I will be staying here in Pocatello until the house sells and we have a new home to move into. The kids will start school at Syringa on Monday and stay there until we get all moved. If you know anyone who’s looking for a great home in a wonderful ward please send them our way. I’d rather not be here without David for very long.
Big changes. Good luck on the sale of your home!
ReplyDeleteWhat?!!!! I'm totally shocked and sad. We'll have to get the girls together a few times before you go. We will miss you, but Tooele is a nice place and I'm happy for you! Let me know if you need anything (babysitter). I'm here for ya!
ReplyDeleteI'm so HAPPY for you. New adventures are always a little scary but FUN. I'd love to help with anything. You know my #.
ReplyDeleteWe are so excited for you guys! It will be a fun adventure.
ReplyDeleteHI Amy, cute blog btw! Hope you all enjoy Tooele. I have several cousins that live there.. seems like a nice place to live. So, just curious, is there no housing in Dugway? Is it just the work facility, kind of like the site? I feel bad for David for that commute, that will be rough. My husband only commutes to American Falls everyday (20 mins)and it gets old, extra time away from us everyday! But I guess lots of people here do it to the INL site, so you just do what you have to do. Do they have a bus that goes to Dugway? Anyway, hope it all works out great for you! Good luck w/ selling your house and the move. I'm glad we can keep in touch on FB! Hugs! Michelle D.
ReplyDeleteWe are so sad to see you go! But we are so excited for you to open a new chapter in your life.
